Another major PC vendor announced it’s plans for UMPC. Raymond Foo, director, Product Marketing and Communications for Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific confirmed that Fujitsu Siemens is in discussion with Microsoft to develop Ultra-Mobile PCs. According to Digi Times:

Fujitsu is currently in talks with Microsoft for its possible launch of Ultra-Mobile PCs (UMPCs), according to Foo. Unlike flat-panel computers and notebooks in general, a UMPC is considered more like a high-end PDA and their sales will hardly threaten Fujitsu’s current eight-inch notebook offerings, said Foo.
