Taking it’s cue from the launch of Origami Project itself, Japanese slate Tablet PC maker PBJ started a teaser campaign for the launch of it’s Smart Caddie UMPC device.
Instead of going the traditional route and showing off it’s UMPC at tradeshows or through press releases PJB launched Smart Caddie website and started teasing the public with bits of information. When first discovered, the site just had one picture with something wrapped in a box on it. Later they have updated the site with a picture of Smart Caddie UMPC device, promising some more info this week.
Today the site was updated once again with some nice 306 degrees flash animation of Smart Caddie UMPC Life Style PC, it’s official specs and again with promises of more information and interviews with it’s developers later.
It seems pretty smart marketing campaign, assuring continuous buzz in the media and blogs hungry for any UMPC information. Samsung’s Q1, Asus R2h and Founders Mininote got their day in the sun at Cebit and were quickly forgotten. But I am sure that UMPC focused sites and blogs (this one included) will continue buzzing about Smart Caddie UMPC every time it’s site is updated.
So what’s new about Smart Caddie today? It’s official specificatiuons and some nice views. Enjoy:
